Looooong, but FUN week!

Whew! What a week! My kids were out of school Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday! We usually go camping this time of year over Conference weekend, but we had so much going on with different activities, that we decided to stay home.

We did a few fun things and it turned out to be a pretty fun week. The older two got to have two sleep-overs each, which is always a treat for them. Of course, there is the staying up late and watching ball games with dad. We ran errands and the kids' day was made when I allowed them to pick out something from the dollar store (I love that place)!

On Friday, Matt and I decided to take a four-wheeler ride with some friends. Matt's amazing mother kept all the kids for the day and his also amazing sister took them to a movie (Wall*E). I didn't feel too guilty leaving them for the day since they did get to spend it with cousins and grandma!

Our ride turned out to be Awesome! We put in somewhere in Tetonia area (I just knew we drove quite awhile to get there)

Here, Matt and I are getting our things ready to go (before the "dust make-up" was applied!

We rode to "Bitch Creek" (that's really the name of it) and hung out on this old railroad bridge. It was a good ways down and we even saw a black bear crossing the water below! I was glad we were up so high then!
These are my two good friends, Katrina and Sherri. Don't we look great with our dusty faces and teeth?
Here we are on the bridge, this shows how long it is. Pretty cool!We loved the winding creek in the background. It was very peaceful and the colors were absolutely gorgeous!
Friday night we went to dinner with our good friends, The Elliott's, who just moved back from Boise. It was fun to hang out with them again.

Saturday night we had a couple's Bunko at our neighbor's house with five other couple's. It was a blast. Everyone brought a white elelphant gift, wrapped, of course. Matt and I scanned in our first high school dance picture and framed it. We also gave some DVD's to go along with it, but it was pretty funny. My friend's daughter who just got married a month ago got it! We had a good laugh!

Conference was wonderful. I just love President Monson! He makes me smile! I will never forget the opportunity I had six months ago to listen to him speak at Women's Conference and what an amazing feeling it is to be in the same room as the prophet! Truly unique! We ended the day at Matt's parents for a yummy dinner and hanging out with the whole family.

So, we were busy, we all had several fun things to do and everyone was exhausted by Sunday night that the kids went to bed early and Matt and I relaxed with a movie! It doesn't get any better than that!

So cool. I miss the gang in Rigby. Heck, I miss going on our 4 wheelers. We sold them when we moved. There just aren't any places to ride here. Tell Katrina and Sheri HI.

What a great time of year for a ride! And how neat that you saw a bear. I loved your Bunko gift, too funny. I had hear that Danny and Becky had moved back. Funny that we're all drifting home.
