School is out!

I am a bit slow at posting this month! It is a rare moment that I have time to sit down and just play on the computer!

School was out over a week ago. I felt like I was ready for it this year! We got the kids out a little early their last day, which is a joke anyway, they do NOTHING. But, when I went to pick up Big Dog he got all teary-eyed and said he wanted to stay...crazy since the reason we were leaving was to get to Utah for his baseball tourney! Bayli was a bit sad also because her teacher is moving and Bayli goes to a different school for 5th grade anyway, but they both had a great year!

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Orem for our tourney, which is nice because a lot of my family lives there. Friday night we had a double-header and my mom offered to keep my kids, so I got to go and actually enjoy two games without interruptions! It was great!

We came home Sunday and brought my niece, Emma home while Sissy Boo stayed to play with Emma's sister, Haili. Emma is 7 and so is our good friend (and neighbor's) daughter. She was here for the week and had such a great time with Ally! She was such a sweetheart and made me miss S.B. at that age! I had so much fun doing her hair (she is a red-head with shoulder-length hair). I really loved having a "little girl" to hang out with. S.B. is such the pre-teen now. I didn't realize it until this week how much she is growing up:(

Big Dog is improving tremendously with his catching skills! He is amazing at age 8. He is our main catcher and can stop his dad's fastest ball. I am very proud of him. He has worked so hard and become a team leader (even though he is the youngest on the team). He is just eating it up! He loves baseball. We only have two more weekends of it though and then we get to play!

My whole family is going to California in a couple weeks to stay for a week in a beach house. We are really looking forward to that. The kids just love to play with their cousins and I really have a great time with my siblings, some of whom I only see once or twice a year!

I hope the weather gets warmer now that Summer is officially here! We have big plans, and need cooperation from the Sun to make them happen...
