I sure hope that is all bad luck comes in because I have had enough of it for one day! We came home from our camping trip yesterday early afternoon with the intention of hanging out watching T.V. etc.
Well, let me back up...Friday I got my new front loading washer and dryer! I was so excited to try them out. Well, if any of you know, they have to be totally level or they will "walk", so we set them up I started a load of laundry, before I knew it, my washer was practically out in my kitchen! Tucker came running yelling "it's scary!" I put the blaseted thing back in place and decided to watch what happened when it spinned. So, sure enough the spin cycle came on and it started shaking so bad! It was so loud and obnoxious! I took the level, got the tool and started leveling the feet myself. Well, I got it totally level and it STILL walked! I was very frustrated, and of course, we were leaving and I wasn't ready yet, so I gave up and decided to let Matt mess with it when we got home...
Well, of course with camping comes laundry, and lots of it! So, the first thing we did was start working on leveling the washer. After two hours, a bent leveling tool and a very frustrated husband, Matt informs me that he is headed to the hardware store to get some rubber grips or something to hold the feet in place.
He returns a few minutes later and informs me the the transmission just went out in our van! I was like "you have got to be kidding!" "Nope!" he tells me so we hooked it up to the truck and limped it on over to the auto center.
Well, back to the blasted washer now that it is getting later and I have not done any laundry yet...
As we are both standing there watching the thing with a mind of it's own, I grab the owner's manual and start reading about the spin cycles and if you can avoid them at all when Matt grabs the manual from my hands, flips the page and just starts yelling about how stupid he is! It turns out there are four huge bolts in the back of the washer that must be removed after shipping, otherwise the washer will vibrate severely and possibly move while spinning! DUH!!! We were both sooooo mad and frustrated that we decided to take a break and head on over to Dairy Queen for a blizzard!
Well, our day does not end there, no sirree! We get home from the D.Q. and Matt and the kids decide to watch a movie. Well, five minutes later Matt comes upstairs with his projector in hand explaining that it just died! The bulb had burned out...
Bad luck comes in threes? Please tell me this is the end of it for us!

Jeni, bad luck comes in 3's. You are at the end of it and only good things will come your way! Feel better now?
Yes, I think...
LOL! Hilarious! (Well, only hilarious because it isn't me. A nightmare to you I'm sure.) I loved the part about your little boy saying it was scary. I think it would scare me too. I am envious of your front loader, I want one SO bad. (Especially after a camping trip. Argghhh...the laundry piles!) Here's hoping your bad luck is finished.
Bummer about the badness...cool about the washer. My friend has one but she thinks it makes her clothes smell bad. I have waited to get one until I get a second oppinion. Let me know if you love it.
Lori, the washer does have a certain smell that they say is totally normal. I don't think it actually makes my clothes smell bad. I have never heard anyone else complain about thier clothes smelling (and I have talked to several people who have the front loaders). Good luck! Hope that helps in your opinion search...
So sorry, Jeni, that is so frustrating and yet, SO FUNNY for the rest of us. You tell a good story. Glad you finally got that washer fixed. Better luck this week:)
